Why did you choose to become a GSG Senator?: I believe in the power of advocacy in voicing collective and individual needs and observations to further thread the knits of community.
How would you best serve your constituents? Synthesizing my skills in humanities and passion for the arts will allow me flexible facilitative room to understand the needs of the Intermedia community and the scope and breadth of this work within the campus at large.
Please tell us about your research: I’m currently drawn to the process of entropy and the following act of mending. This process is seen in natural and architectural decay, the bones and feathers and rust, the displacement of humans and homes, discarded materials in our natural environments. I’m interested in reviving meaning within the story behind these circumstances and visually representing this process through sculpture.
How do you plan on communicating with your constituents?: I plan on connecting with the Intermedia community through word-of-mouth, monthly newsletters and social media updates as well as a zine each semester.
