Role in Graduate Student Government: My main role as the Grants Office is to oversee the dispersal of funds to graduate students through the Graduate Student Government. All funding of groups and individuals will be channeled through the Grants Officer. 

Reason behind joining the GSG as an officer:  I have been the senator of the School of Computing and Information Sciences for almost three years now and I have always enjoyed being a part of GSG and also to represent my fellow students at the senate. Last year I served as the Deputy Grants Officer, and I wanted to continue serving in GSG in the executive committee and hence I applied and became the Grants Officer. 

Long Term Career Goals: Professor.

Involvement in clubs and other organizations: Former GSG Deputy Grants Officer, SCIS-GSC President, Graduate Teaching/ Research Assistant, Graduate School.

Research at UMaine: PhD in Spatial Information Science and Engineering.
