Why did you decide to become a GSG senator?: I want to be able to advocate for our relatively smaller graduate program!

How would you best serve your constituents?: To me, I feel like I could best serve by disseminating important information to the department, reminding them of deadlines, ongoing events, opportunities for growth, and more.

Please tell us about your research or some fun facts about you: I’m passionate about researching disparities faced by LGBTQIA+ people in the intersection of substance use and the criminal legal system. I come home everyday to an amazing flock of six parrots, a four-foot lizard named Zuko (who you might see on campus sometimes), and my curious tortoise named Beefcake (alongside other snakes and critters!)

How do you plan on communicating with your constituents?: We have an e-mail for the whole department and one specifically for the graduate students that I’d be using to communicate.
