Reason behind joining the GSG as an officer: I wanted to take an active role in the growth of the graduate student body and communicate the needs of graduate students to the wider UMaine administration and faculty.
As an officer in the GSG, how would you like to contribute in such a way that you improve the situation for graduate students?: My biggest goal is to enable and facilitate effective communication between GSG senate and faculty senate. Also, I want to ensure graduate student involvement and success at the 2026 Student Symposium.
Long-Term Career Goals: I want to join a PHD program and continue my work and research, moving towards a career in academia and researcher.
Research at UMaine: Climate change visual communication and ‘climate identities’. How do we visually communicate about issues of public health, like global climate change?
Involvement in clubs and other organizations: President of the CMJ Graduate Student Association, and a Graduate Student Communications Specialist at the Advanced Structures and Composites Center.
Hobbies: Motorcycling and rock climbing
