Why did you decide to become a GSG senator?: Senators act as a link between the student community, and It is a privilege for me to be part of this government and be able to connect with students as well as to provide assistance to them and serve the University of Maine community

How would you best serve your constituents?: As an international student at the University of Maine, I plan on being a great support for students like me and ensuring that their concerns and views are represented most appropriately and that they have equal rights and opportunities as other fellow students.

Please tell us about your research or some fun facts about you: I am a graduate student pursuing a Ph.D. degree in chemistry, and although some people consider this to be a challenging major, I always try to tell them all about the fun aspects of chemistry, my research is in the field of medicinal chemistry I am currently working on understanding the redox activity of a drug and the fascinating part about this that always gets people excited about my research is that the drug is made out of gold.

How do you plan on communicating with your constituents?: I am a very social person, an extrovert; I like meeting new people every day and making new friends, I already have many connections, and I plan on keeping in touch with everyone as much as possible. They all must know that their voices will be heard and that they can reach out to me regarding any concerns; it is also vital that they all have a good, peaceful, and concern-free college experience, and I will always let them know that we are here for them.
