LaTeX Typesetting of Graduate Thesis

A group of University of Maine alumni have developed the maine-thesis LaTeX class for the typesetting of a Master’s Thesis or Dissertation.

maine-thesis Class

The GitLab repository offers a guide for getting started with the template on Overleaf (a popular collaborative editor) and downloads for the class, template, and documentation.

The LaTeX class is also published on CTAN for inclusion in your editor of choice.

Graduate School Formatting Guidelines

For official thesis formatting guidelines, please visit The Graduate School, and please report any discrepancies between the graduate school’s requirements and the class as an issue on GitLab. When reporting issues, please provide as much detail as is reasonable, including screenshots where relevant.

Contributions to the maine-theiss Class

The maine-thesis LaTeX class is supported by volunteers and kept up to date with the Graduate School guidelines on a rolling basis. Additional maintainers are welcome to join our group, and pull requests are welcome!
