How STEM Undergraduates Choose, Navigate, and Integrate Interdisciplinarity in College and Beyond

In this talk, Dr. Ezekiel Kimball, associate dean for undergraduate and teacher education a the University of Maine College of Education and Human Development, will describe findings from a recent grounded theory study that included interviews with 45 STEM students and alumnx from an interdisciplinary program at a public research institution in the Northeastern United States.
The College of Education and Human Development at UMaine will host its first ever pinning ceremony to recognize preservice teachers who are advancing to teacher candidacy and entering their student teaching placements. The event will also honor members of Kappa Delta Pi, the education honor society, as well as other academic and professional achievements of students.
