teaching @ UMaine: A learning community for New Faculty
Launch your teaching journey at UMaine with confidence, connection, and community. This welcoming, semester-long program is designed specifically for recently hired faculty who are new to teaching at UMaine. Together, we’ll explore our students, institutional policies, and the foundational practices of effective teaching. You’ll engage with real classroom scenarios, build a personalized teaching development plan, and gain a strong start in your academic career at UMaine.
Along the way, you’ll connect with colleagues across campus, reflect on your own teaching practice, and discover the resources and support available to help you succeed—not just this semester, but for years to come.
Alternate Fridays from 11:00am – 12:00pm starting on September 29th* | Fernald, Hall Room 102
