what we do

The University Volunteer Ambulance Corps, also known around campus as UVAC, is the on-campus emergency medical service (EMS) for the University of Maine. Our ambulances respond to emergency calls at the University of Maine and provide mutual aid to surrounding towns and agencies. We are inspected and licensed by Maine Emergency Medical Services on a yearly basis, and carry the equipment necessary to provide the highest level of pre-hospital care.
