IMRC Center:

Printing at the IMRC Center:

You may also choose to print your poster at the Innovative Media Research and Commercialization (IMRC) Center in Stewart Commons. The Prototyping Lab has a single large format Canon ImageGRAF printer that can print an item of several square feet in size, with a width of 44”.

Key differences between printing through Print Services and printing at the IMRC Center:

  • The overall cost of your print will be lower at the IMRC Center.
  • The IMRC Center does not provide proofreading or quality control services.
  • The IMRC Center requires registration as a lab user, while Print Services just requires information about that singular print.
  • With only one printer, high demands or technical problems may make this option unavailable. Print Services can accept print job requests closer to UMSS and guarantees timely printing.

Printing at the IMRC Center is a good option for your Symposium poster if:

  • You are already an IMRC Center registered user and have an iLab account, OR
  • You are willing to take registration steps prior to setting up your print
  • Your poster design is ready to print in March
  • You are confident that your poster design has no errors or compliance issues

Estimated IMRC Center Large Format printing costs for a 12 square-foot Symposium poster:

Self-service printing: $25.00

Full-service printing by IMRC Staff: $40.00

To print through the IMRC Center, you must be registered as a lab user. To register, navigate here.

Please note that this is a self-service option that does not include proofreading services.

You will receive an invoice for your printing within one to two weeks that can be paid online securely using the University Bursar’s office Touchnet system.
