Course Load
Students may take a maximum of 18 credits during Summer University. Undergraduates who show an unusually good scholastic record on the basis of previous work, may secure permission to elect hours above the ordinary maximum registration. Students wishing to register for more than 18 hours must obtain permission from their advisor or from the Associate Dean of their college.
Note: Summer University courses are offered in unique time blocks (3-weeks, 6-weeks, etc.). Although the time frame is condensed, these courses require the same amount of work as a full-semester course, and are thus intensive in nature. For this reason, it is strongly recommended that students take no more than one three-credit course in a three-week session, and no more than two three-credit courses in a six-week session. If you have questions or concerns about workload, please speak with someone in our DLL Advising Center.
