Undergraduate Alumni

We are proud of the great success our alumni have achieved since graduating from UMaine. Former SOE students work as project managers, data analysts, teachers, software engineers, and senior economists.

Former SOE students live and work in all corners of the United States and many reside in other countries. Just over one-half of SOE graduates live in Maine and 15 percent have settled in Portland. Other popular destinations for our former students include Boston (8 percent), New York City (4 percent) and Washington, DC (4 percent).

Some of the more senior members of SOE faculty have had the pleasure of teaching multiple generations of economics students from the same family.
