It is the policy of the Maine NSTI program to encourage applications from students of diverse backgrounds. First time attendees will be given preference.

Students must:

  • be in the 6th, 7th, or 8th 
  • have an interest in Engineering, Science, Transportation, or Technology related career.
  • provide at least one letter of recommendation.
  • write a short essay (1,000 words or less) about why you want to participate in MSTI and how you feel participating can assist you in meeting your individual career goals.
  • provide report card

  • Transportation Workshops and Handouts

  • Lab Fee (FREE)
  • Recreation Fees (FREE)
