Building Capacity for Socio-Environmental Problem Solving: A Design for Learning and Adaptation at SESYNC

Jonathan Kramer, National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center (SESYNC)

Jon Kramer is the Director of Interdisciplinary Science for SESYNC. Previously, Dr. Kramer served as the Director of the Maryland Sea Grant. Since 2000, he has worked to apply new approaches to link science to policy development and decision-making in the environmental arena. Of particular interest is the use of facilitation, synthesis and consensus building to help address critical issues in the coastal arena as well as the development of effective science outreach mechanisms. Jon is engaged in efforts that foster organizational development, strategic planning and management to strengthen science-based organizations.
