FIRST Project Receives $2.5 Million DOE Grant

A UMaine research project entitled “Technology Maturation of Wireless Harsh-Environment Sensors for Improved Condition-Based Monitoring,” led by FIRST (formerly known as LASST) members Mauricio Pereira da Cunha, professor of electrical and computer engineering, and Robert Lad, professor of physics, has just received a $2.5 million dollar grant from the Department of Energy.
