Why did you choose UMaine and the EES program:
“I enjoyed the environmental science classes I took in high school and wanted to take that work forwards into college!”
Best hands on experience and why:
“Probably doing isotopic data analysis in Bryand; getting to work with data from state of the art equipment is pretty dang cool.”
Favorite class at UMaine and why:
“EES 117! It was a very fun class, I got to spend time with Maine’s beautiful natural landscape, got to hang out with some cool people and do some interesting and engaging research. Simply couldn’t complain.”
Wisdom for incoming students:
“Don’t be afraid to take classes that aren’t directly related to your field or that simply interest you. Having a more wide umbrella of knowledge can only be helpful to your research, and, if you’re not sure what you want to research, coming across different topics in class can help you find your way there!”
