Isaac Waddy Adjei-Ampofo

About me: My name is Isaac Waddy Adjei-Ampofo, and I am currently pursuing a Master of Social Work
(MSW) at the University of Maine. I earned my undergraduate degree in Education and my
Master’s in Higher Education in Ghana, and I have taught in both Ghana and Mozambique. My
passion lies in helping individuals overcome challenges, build resilience, and find hope. I am
excited to bring my educational experience and dedication to the UMaine Counseling Center as
an intern.
What has been your most embarrassing moment (either at work or play)?
One unforgettable moment was during a canopy walk. I thought I was ready for the adventure,
but when I looked down from the height, fear got the better of me, and I ended up shouting in
pure panic! It was a humbling reminder that even the most confident people have their moments
of vulnerability.
What is your favorite comfort food?
Jollof rice and grilled chicken; nothing lifts the spirit like this rich and spicy dish!
If you could take a trip anywhere in the world, where would you go?
New Zealand for its breathtaking landscapes and the sense of adventure it offers.
