About Me

I am a native Mainer who grew up right here in the Bangor area. I was a student at UMaine for both my undergraduate as well my graduate education and I am thrilled to be working here at my alma mater! In my free time you are likely to find me spending time with family, hiking, and relaxing outdoors. My approach to therapy is centered around the importance of self-empowerment and learning how to embrace your own potential. I consider it a privilege to be able to sit with people, hear their stories, and be a support for them as they navigate life’s ups and downs. I truly believe that we each know our own self better than anyone else ever could and my goal is to help you nurture this.

What has been your most embarrassing moment?

I have a tendency to mishear the lyrics to popular songs, and yet that never seems to stop me from singing loudly around a group of people. Many of my friends could probably give you a list of songs that I have totally ruined.

What is your favorite food?

Italian food of any kind, particularly pasta dishes

If you could take a trip anywhere in the world, were would you go?

Bora Bora. I love relaxing by the water and seeing new places.

Professional Credentials and Interests

Masters in Social Work (MSW): University of Maine 2013
Bachelors in Social Work (BSW): University of Maine 2009
I am a clinical social worker and enjoy both individual therapy as well as group therapy. My theoretical framework includes an eclectic mix of cognitive-behavioral therapy, strengths-based perspective, attachment theory, and mindfulness. I view the therapeutic relationship and the therapeutic process to be a journey that is guided by you and consider it an honor to be on this journey with you.
