About Me
I am “from away”, even though I’ve been living in Maine close to 20 years! I went to undergrad at a small school in Indiana (DePauw) and did my grad work right here on the Orono campus. I think Maine is the country’s best kept secret and love to hike, kayak, snow shoe, and explore. My husband and I have three dogs and call them our ‘kids’. I teach yoga and incorporate mindfulness in all the work I do with clients. Being fully present with someone while they share their story is sometimes the best medicine out there.
-What has been your most embarrassing moment (that you are willing to share)?
If you walk by my office, you’ll definitely catch me talking to myself!
What is your favorite food?
All things Italian, especially homemade sauce, pasta, and gnocchi.
If you could take a trip anywhere in the world, were would you go?
Italy – it would be amazing to go there and take a cooking class.

I am a clinical social worker and enjoy working directly with people individually and in groups. My theoretical framework is a mixture of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. It is crucial that all people I work with feel heard and valued. It is truly an honor to serve the students of Maine.
