Fundamentals of Teaching in Higher Ed
Recently hired faculty* are invited to join a discussion group focused on fundamentals of teaching in higher education. Meetings are divided to discuss both learning from the reading and stories from the classroom. This semester we will decide between one of the following:
Learning that Matters: Course Design for Transformative Education
How Learning Works: 8 Research-based Principles for Smart Teaching
You will be given a vote when you register. Books will be provided prior to our first meeting.
Alternate Fridays from 10:00am-11:00am starting on Jan 30th
*What is considered recently hired? Generally, instructors hired in the past three years. If you fall in this category and are interested – please register!
