This course is designed to offer a complete immersive experience in French to students who wish to improve their oral proficiency. Students are encouraged to actively use French as a natural part of daily life and to develop heightened appreciation for Québec culture, society and history. We will be visiting important cultural sites throughout the region, including – but not limited to – the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec, the Musée de la civilisation, the Assemblée nationale du Québec, a visit to the Wendake indigenous site of the Huron-Wendat Nation and on l’Île d’Orléans. Guest speakers will be featured throughout the trip to give an authentic perspective and experience to the material discussed in class. Housing at Université Laval, transportation and an opening dinner are included. Students are responsible for all other meals and expenses.
