Strength Training

The club provides guidance, peer support, and educational resources to help members progress safely and effectively, regardless of experience level. When available, the club may also offer financial assistance for competitions and events.

Mission: The mission of the University of Maine Strength Training Club is to promote health, education, and personal growth through safe, effective, and inclusive strength training. We provide structured programming, leadership, and competitive opportunities that foster physical well-being and lifelong fitness for students of all experience levels.

Membership Benefits: Members of the University of Maine Strength Training Club are part of a supportive and inclusive community dedicated to strength development and athletic growth. Members have opportunities to train for and compete in a variety of strength sports, including powerlifting, olympic weightlifting, bodybuilding, and related disciplines..  

Practice schedule:

  • Tuesdays 7-9pm
  • Thursdays 7-9pm
