Boxing

The boxing club aims to create a safe space for individuals to come and learn how to practice combat sports. Whether your goal is to compete in amateur boxing matches or find a fun new way to stay in shape, anyone with a good attitude is welcome!

The Boxing Club is a club based around physical fitness and the sport of boxing. The club would offer students a boxing class and physical fitness. The club would offer three different ways of membership. Students who would like to learn to box, fitness boxers (or people that join the classes just for physical fitness goals), and lastly for those who would like to compete in the USA Boxing amateur league. The club would be led by a certified USA boxing coach.

Mission Statement: The purpose of the UMBC is to promote the sport of boxing as a means of physical fitness, self-discipline, and personal growth among University of Maine students and faculty. We aim to create an inclusive, supportive environment for students of all skill levels to train, learn, and compete in accordance with University of Maine guidelines and safety standards.
