Drew Guttentag

Drew Guttentag is a graduate researcher in the Brady Lab studying estuarine crab ecology. His research focuses on the range expansion of the Blue Crab (Callinectes sapidus) in the Gulf of Maine, examining how thermal conditions shape the species’ northward movement and establishment. He also investigates the community composition and habitat use of native and non-native crab species in the Gulf of Maine estuaries through trapping surveys and ecological modeling. By relating species presence to environmental variables, Drew aims to better understand how estuarine conditions influence crab species distributions and interactions. Prior to joining the Brady Lab, he studied Biology at Wesleyan University. Outside of the lab, Drew serves as the head wrestling coach at Lincoln Academy High School.
