At the University of Maine, we have a band for every ability and interest level. Our Sports Band Program, including the Pride of Maine Marching Band and the Screamin’ Black Bear Pep Band as well as the Concert Band are open to all students and have no auditions. Our Symphonic Band is an auditioned band made up of students from all parts of campus. The Jazz Ensembles, under the direction of Dr. Jack Burt, are also auditioned groups made up of students from all parts of campus. Christopher G. White
