Faculty - Heidi Corliss
Heidi E. Corliss earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree and a Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting at the University of Maine. She teaches in MSAD #22 (Hampden, Newburgh, Winterport) where she is Director of Choral Activities 6-12 and co-supervisor of music. Her choirs have been invited to perform at community events, regional festivals, the Maine All-State Conference, and Carnegie Hall. For the past 3 years, her high school show choir “Voices Unlimited” has placed first or second in the state festival. Mrs. Corliss is active in the Maine Music Educators’ Association and American Choral Directors’ Association holding various state positions in each. She has been adjudicator for All-State auditions and jazz/show choir and large group festivals, directed summer music theater, and has been guest conductor for numerous district festivals. In spring of 2001, Heidi was awarded the Distinguished Choral Director Award by the Maine chapter of ACDA and in 2002 was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi honor society and Pi Kappa Lambda music honor society. She also serves as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Maine where she directs Athena Consort, an all women’s choir.
