Lauren Ross

Lauren Ross is a co-leader of the WPES team! Her research expertise is in coastal physical oceanography and coastal engineering. Lauren works with her students to better understand material transport and residence times related to coastal pollution and HABs in estuaries and coasts around Maine. The overarching goal of her research is to provide decision support for WPES stakeholder partners.

In addition to being a faculty member in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at UMaine, Lauren is a Faculty Fellow in the Senator George J. Mitchell Center for Sustainability Solutions and a Cooperating Faculty member in the School of Marine Science and at the Advanced Structures and Composites Center.
