Sara Henry: We’re talking about Academic Support Services on this campus, which are already very rich, but there’s lots of opportunities to improve on those services.

What we believe is that, if we can get students, faculty, and staff aware and engaged in knowing what risk factors are, what opportunities are out there to get help, and get the help to students, that it will not only improve their grades, but it will improve overall retention and student success.

I work with a lot of students through Student Accessibility Services. Our population tends to be one that comes in with many challenges. We offer support. We are a high-touch model where we’re seeing students very frequently. I know that students need help, and they’re not always getting the help that they need.
