Our staff of professionals are dedicated to meeting the printing needs of the University of Maine community by delivering high-quality printing solutions that enhance communication, support educational initiatives, and promote creativity across campus.

OFFICIAL CAMPUS PRINTER

As UMaine’s official campus printer, we maintain University brand standards and work closely with Marketing & Communications and the office of equal opportunity. Our shop maintains University brand standards, accesses official templates and logos and ensures consistency in color printing. These are all important to ensuring the brand and look of official UMaine publications is consistent.

We offer a wide range of services, including digital printing, large-format printing, binding, and custom projects all tailored to meet the specific requirements of our faculty, staff, and students. Our state-of-the-art equipment and experienced professionals ensure that every project, big or small, is executed with precision and care.

Sustainability & eco-friendly

At UMaine Printing Services, we also prioritize sustainability by implementing eco-friendly practices and utilizing environmentally conscious materials.

  • Being one of the first print shops in Maine to adopt an entirely chemical-free plate making process
  • Our offset presses use soy-based inks
  • Our digital printers use recycled ink cartridges
  • We reuse our press plates, reducing waste
  • We offer pH neutral, archivally-appropriate, acid-free papers and a variety of papers containing 20-100% recycled or post-consumer fiber
  • We offer chlorine-free paper options and many Sustainable Forestry Initiative and Forest Stewardship Council certified products including FSC 100%, FSC Recycled, and FSC Mixed Sources products
  • We participate in the UMaine recycling program.
