CCNE Accreditation Review

The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredits both the baccalaureate and master’s degree programs in nursing as well as the post-graduate Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certificate program offered by the University of Maine School of Nursing (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org).

The CCNE on-site accreditation review for the School of Nursing is scheduled February 25th-28th, 2020. Our last CCNE accreditation review occurred in 2010.

You are invited to submit written comments about any of our degree or certificate programs to CCNE no later than February 5, 2020.  CCNE shares third-party comments with members of the evaluation team before the visit, but at no time during the review process are these comments shared with the program.

During its review of UMaine School of Nursing programs, the evaluation team considers third-party comments that relate to the accreditation standards. All third-party comments submitted to CCNE must be written in English, consistent with CCNE’s policy on Conduct of Business. CCNE accepts only signed comments for inclusion in the accreditation review process.

If you would like to submit third-party comments regarding any of the University of Maine School of Nursing programs currently scheduled for on-site review, please submit to thirdpartycomments@ccneaccreditation.org.

Alternatively, if you prefer, mail signed comments to:
