Alex joined the Kerr lab as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in May 2025. She is broadly interested in researching the impacts of climate, fisheries management decisions, and offshore energy development on the life history and population dynamics of fishery species. Her current research focuses on evaluating the impacts of data uncertainty and climate on fisheries management strategies. Prior to the University of Maine, Alex was a Biologist with the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, where she worked on offshore wind and fisheries. Alex received her PhD in Marine Science, with a concentration in Fisheries Science, from the Virginia Institute of Marine Science and her B.S. in Environmental Science from Villanova University.
