Making Library Learning Visible Through Collaboration

Workshop Description

School libraries play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning, yet much of this work often happens behind the scenes. Collaborative lessons, research support, and inquiry-based learning experiences frequently go undocumented, making it difficult for school communities to fully understand the instructional role of the library. This session focuses on practical ways librarians can document and share their collaborative work with educators and administrators.

Participants will explore a real example of a digital collaboration hub used to capture lesson partnerships, student learning artifacts, and reflective practice. Attendees will then design their own documentation workflow and create a ready-to-use template tailored to their school context. By the end of the session, participants will leave with tools, structures, and strategies to effectively communicate the library’s instructional value in their school community.
