Dana was raised in Minnesota and went to college in Wisconsin. She earned an Elementary Education degree on the shore of Lake Superior at Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin. While at Northland, Dana developed a love of the outdoors and a passion to protect the environment. She moved to Maine in 1994 and met the love of her life in Brunswick. They married and had 3 kids who are all grown up now. After years of working in elementary schools, Dana has switched careers and is now working at the Blake Library at the University of Maine Fort Kent. She is taking courses to complete her Library Media Studies Graduate Certificate. Her interests include literacy, hiking and birding. She lives in St. John Plantation with her husband of 28 years, their dog the Great GoldenDoodle, Minnesota May and her bestie Milo the 20 pound cat.
