Achieving Wellness Through Creativity: Digital Pathways for Educator Well-being
Workshop Description
In today’s fast-paced educational environments, fostering personal wellness is essential—not only for educators’ own well-being but also for the success and health of their students. Based on the insightful book Achieving Wellness Through Creativity, this interactive workshop empowers educators to explore the transformative connection between creativity and holistic wellness.
Participants will engage in hands-on, digital-first creative activities designed to reduce stress, enhance mindfulness, and promote emotional balance. These activities—ranging from digital journaling and virtual collage-making to guided audio storytelling and multimedia reflection tools—are accessible, adaptable, and easily integrated into busy teaching schedules.

Tamara Aragon is a Digital Learning Coach for the Los Lunas Public schools in Los Lunas New Mexico. She became an Apple Distinguished Educator in 2017 and provides professional development with educators to incorporate technology into the curriculum and standards. Tamara has previously taught elementary students while transforming the classroom into a more personalized learning environment and building pathways to guide students to reaching new levels. Her passion is to encourage students to find their passion and share it beyond the classroom. She continues to inspire other teachers to incorporate technology into their classroom in fun, creative ways.

Rosaura “Rose” Trujillo is a Digital Learning Coach for Los Lunas Public Schools. She is a passionate educator and strives to engage learners in relevant and meaningful learning experiences. She holds a master of Arts in Language, Literacy, and Sociocultural Studies and a Bachelor of Science in special education and general education, from the University of New Mexico. Rose is an Apple Distinguished Educator (2019), Apple Learning Coach, and Canvas Certified Educator. She enjoys building relationships with staff and students to provide meaningful experiences through real-world opportunities, creativity, collaboration, and personalized learning. She provides professional learning with accessible technology and supports Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to offer various flexible, engaging learning opportunities to help each learner succeed.
