10 Quick Student Engagement Tips

Workshop Description

In this session, participants will learn 10 quick student engagement strategies and activities that get students creating, moving, speaking, collaborating, and listening. From AI to pencil and paper, these are simple strategies that can be implemented the next day. At the end of the session, participants will be encouraged to share a favorite student engagement activity of their own.

Workshop Outcomes

In a world where distraction is constant, transforming student device use requires more than a mindset shift it requires intentional design. This hands-on workshop, aligned to the keynote, moves beyond the theme to provide educators with practical strategies for turning passive consumption into purposeful creation. Participants will explore how to redesign lessons, integrate creative tools, and implement structures that increase student engagement, improve behavior, and support self-regulation. Walk away with ready-to-use ideas, a redesigned lesson or activity, and a clear plan for putting powerful, student-centered learning into practice immediately.
