Qikai Jiang

Qikai Jiang graduated with a Mathematics B.S. with minors in Computer Science and Statistics in May, 2022. Qikai conducted statistical computation using R for the breast cancer project within the time he worked at the CompuMAINE Lab. He applied techniques of categorical data analysis, kernal density estimation, bootstrap resampling, and nonparametric exploratory analytics methods to further analyze different types of breast tissues’ relation with the amount of various breast tumor patients. More specifically, the approach of the checkerboard copula method was applied to those multi-way contingency tables which have been built up. Alongside, he learned and investigated those statistics theories prevalent in biomedical research.
