Melissa Ham

Melissa is a senior undergraduate student studying Biomedical Engineering, with a minor in Physics. Her current research at the CompuMAINE lab involves quality control analysis of control patients in the breast cancer project by analyzing breast tissue area over time, using her masks of the patient mammograms done in Imagej with further data analysis in R, as well as DICOM header analysis. Melissa’s love of technological applications in the sciences lead to her interest in joining the CompuMAINE team, as well as her desire to learn about imaging applications and gain further coding experience. In her free time, you can find Melissa in a session of Dungeons and Dragons, reading, painting, or playing video games with friends.
