Hannah Varney
Hannah is a master’s student in biomedical engineering. Her research in the CompuMAINE lab involves statistical analysis of chromosome territories. The chromosome territory images were segmented using the 2.5D Wavelet Transform Modulus Maxima method. Current explorations involve coding a simulation of a nucleus containing chromosome territories to compare to the image data. Her research is mostly coded in R, but she also uses FIJI/ImageJ, C++ and Python. In her free time, Hannah enjoys hiking, fishing and reading.
