Background and Interests

John recently relocated to Maine from New York City in September 2025. His most recent position was as the Associate Director of Instructional Design at Lehman College (CUNY), in
the Bronx. During his tenure, he developed several workshops/webinars for faculty and staff, facilitated a Course Design Institute, and partnered with various departments, such as the library, furthering the college’s mission and vision.

John has been in the Instructional Design field for approximately ten years, working at other City University of New York (CUNY) institutions, LIM College, and Northeastern University.
Throughout his career he has worked with amazing colleagues, who push him to grow and enhance his own skills and professional knowledge. At LIM, John taught a First Year Experience course, which acclimated students to higher education, NYC, and LIM’s academic expectations.

In his free time, you could probably find John training for an upcoming local run. You may also find him going to the movies (most likely, horror) and listening to an audio book and/or podcast.
