Mr. Brandan Fahey

Brendan Fahey was commissioned in May 1983 from the Army ROTC program at The Citadel.  He attended the Infantry Officer Basic Course and graduated in September 1983.  He graduated from the US Army flight school in September 1984 as a UH-1 Iroquois (Huey) pilot and was stationed at FT Hood, Texas.  After attending the Aviation Officers Advanced Course and the UH-60 orientation course, Brendan Fahey was stationed in Uijongbu, Republic of Korea, from June 1988 through February 1990.  He was then stationed at Fort Hood, Texas as an operational test officer conducting tests on new aviation systems such as the MH-60K Blackhawk and MH-47E Chinook helicopters.

After leaving the US Army Brendan Fahey joined the Texas Army National Guard in May 1995 as a traditional National Guardsman.  He served in a number of aviation staff positions and deployed to Bosnia i Herzegovina twice as member of the Stabilization Force (SFOR) as well as Bratislava, Slovakia.   Brendan Fahey became a fulltime member (AGR) of the Texas Army National Guard and deployed to Iraq from September 2006 to September 2007.  He retired after 28 years of military service in October 2011.

Some of Brendan Fahey’s awards and decorations include the Senior Army Aviator Badge, Air Assault Badge, Joint Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, NATO Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, and the Overseas Service Ribbon.  Some of his assignment and deployment locations include Alabama, Texas, Alaska, California, Honduras, El Salvador, Republic of Korea, Germany, Slovakia, Bosnia and Herzegovina,  and Iraq.
