Join us for a hands-on summer experience at the University of Maine’s Advanced Manufacturing Center (the AMC). This two-week Automation Camp is a pilot program designed for students interested in industrial automation and advanced manufacturing systems. Participants train on real industrial automation equipment in a safety-first environment, building practical, job relevant skills through lab based instruction and project work.
Enrollment is capped at 16 students, allowing for focused instruction and meaningful hands-on time. Students may earn at least one industry recognized credential, with multiple credential pathways incorporated into the program (final credential implementation TBD). We are actively pursuing sponsorships to reduce the cost for students and families, but cost reductions are not guaranteed. If sponsorship funding is secured after tuition is paid, families will receive a differential refund.
This camp is open to students 13 to 18 (rising 9th-12th graders).
