PAUL MCCANN, ALTER EGO
Ireland native Paul McCann captures the pursuit of a perfect pop song with his second full length release, Alter Ego. The 12 song pop-rock record demonstrates McCann’s struggles and emotions pre/during/post pandemic, regarding how he handles grief, anger, and love.

S.J. ARMSTRONG, THE NARROW COAST
For fans of Fleet Foxes and Wilco, S.J. Armstrong’s latest release, The Narrow Coast, checks off all the necessary boxes. The album displays wistful vocals with an impressive array of instruments. Tracks like “Nobody Knows” and “Would You Even Know Me” exhibit Armstrong’s range throughout the record.

BRIDAL PARTY, COOL DOWN
“Fleetwood Mac in 2023” is how many would describe Bridal Party’s 2023 release, Cool Down, the first full-length release from the five-piece group since 2019. With 10 new tracks, Canada’s Bridal Party brings a lush energy this week proving their dedication to their newest work.

KOLEŻANKA, ALONE WITH THE SOUND THE MIND MAKES
Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist Kristina Moore, better known by their moniker koleżanka, welcomes their newest release this week, Alone with the Sound the Mind Makes. A 40-minute listen in which the rising artist reflects on experiences of loss and tragedy, bringing an autobiographical tone to the release.

PEARLA, OH GLISTENING ONION, THE NIGHTTIME IS COMING
Brooklyn artist Pearla (Nicole Rodriguez) displays her idea of independence and intimacy with new record, Oh Glistening Onion, The Nighttime Is Coming. Throughout the 12 songs, Pearla demonstrates eccentric tunes that are paired with complex vocals, to create a feeling of magic and wistfulness.


AMBER ARCADES, BAREFOOT ON DIAMOND ROAD
Amber Arcades returns with her third studio album, Barefoot on Diamond Road. Continuing her streak of ethereal dream pop, the release is based around the “antidote for heartbreak”, and illustrates maturity and complexity throughout a
ll ten tracks.

ANDY SHAUF, NORM
Canadian singer-songwriter Andy Shauf has officially embarked on his 2023 journey
 with his new release, Norm, a collection of twelve, storytelling tunes full of characters, narrators, and scenic elements that culminate in a series of epiphanies undergone by Shauf over the last year. 

NOSAJ THING, CONTINUA
Welcoming collaborations with artists such as Toro y Moi, Julianna Barwick, and Panda Bear, LA-based producer Nosaj Thing returns in 2023 with his first full-length release in five years, beautifully blending elements of R&B and soul with modern elements of hip-hop and production techniques in the vein of artists like Flying Lotus.
