Pilot Communities
To address the challenges presented by disposable food packaging, researchers at the University of Maine worked with three communities to launch ReuseME, a pilot project designed to explore the potential for reusable food packaging systems in Maine.
ReuseME is partnered with three coastal Maine communities that have identified waste reduction as a goal in their municipal climate action plans: Bar Harbor, Bath, and South Portland.
