⚠ PLEASE NOTE: INITIAL RELEASE ⚠
This is the first publicly accessible version of the MCSIE-RI, encompassing natural working lands (forests/forest products and agriculture/food systems) and marine and coastal communities. Updates across sectors will be available in the months ahead as the MCSIE team continues Research Inventory development. By the nature of this resource, the Research Inventory will always be evolving and updating. We aim to publish updates quarterly, so check back frequently. We welcome feedback and information submissions at any time.
What is the MCSIE Research Inventory?
The MCSIE Research Inventory (RI) is a spreadsheet-style directory of active research most critical to the implementation and updates of Maine’s Climate Action Plan, Maine Won’t Wait. This open access website features concise project summaries tagged by Maine Won’t Wait’s strategies (A-H) and searchable by themes and keywords. Embedded media that open like a website and contact information are also included so you can easily connect with emerging climate solutions across Maine. Investment in an inventory of active climate research allows scientists, managers, and policymakers to be aware of current relevant research and expertise in the scientific community, enhancing interactions in real-time that might otherwise only occur on the timescale of traditional scientific publications over years. In the spirit of Maine Won’t Wait, the RI accelerates the utilization of science and scientists in decision-making, leveraging existing research that builds on the published literature to address the most critical information needs of state climate action implementation.
