Monitoring Data
The coordination of data and monitoring in support of technical assistance to stakeholders and policymakers was also called for in Maine Won’t Wait. To meet this directive MCSIE works with the Maine Climate Office and the Maine State Climatologist, Dr. Sean Birkel, to enhance access to climate relevant data and to build increased capacity for the Maine Climate Office to serve as a gateway to relevant data and monitoring information for Maine. [Initial work on the data and monitoring portal is under development in 2024 as a collaboration between MCSIE and the MCO].
