In this workshop, you’ll learn about the essentials of trademarks; what they are, why they matter, and how to register one. We’ll cover the trademark application process, how to conduct a basic trademark search, and common pitfalls to avoid. If you’re an entrepreneur, small business owner, or just curious about intellectual property, this session will provide a valuable introduction to the world of trademarks.

The Workshop will take place on Tuesday, April 8th at 11AM, in Library Classroom 1, in Fogler Library at the University of Maine in Orono.

You can attend the workshop in person or via Zoom. The Zoom link will be sent shortly before the event.

About the workshop

Trademarks 101: Protecting Your Brand is presented by Fogler Library. The event is a part of Maine Impact Week, an annual showcase of UMaine’s impact on the state and beyond. It is hosted by the Office of the Vice President for Research and Dean of the Graduate School.
