Matt Biddle is the Tutor Coordinator and Advisor for TRIO Student Support Services (SSS), part of College Success Programs.

Matt earned a BA in English from Haverford College and an MA and PhD in English from The Pennsylvania State University (Penn State). While working on his dissertation at Penn State, Matt realized that academic advising was his passion, leading him to work as an advisor for the PSU College of Engineering.

In late 2014, Matt’s wife Cat was offered a faculty position in UMaine’s College of Education and Human Development; in April of 2015 Matt started as the Assistant Director of Student Records at UMaine. After a year and a half in that position, he once again returned to working with students as an academic advisor for TRIO SSS.

Matt has built TRIO SSS tutoring services from the ground up, and tutoring has become one of the most sought-after services SSS offers.
