Kelsey Thompson, PhD, CCC-SLP is a lecturer and speech-language pathologist. Her clinical work has centered on the pediatric population in the private practice and early intervention settings where she gained specific expertise in feeding, childhood apraxia of speech, and executive functioning. Kelsey earned her doctorate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2023; her dissertation examined how families of preterm infants navigate the transition to solid foods and how food texture progression and feeding strategies during that period impacted feeding outcomes. Areas of interest include pediatric feeding, family-centered care, early intervention, and professional preparation of speech language pathologists to assess and treat pediatric feeding disorder.
