Graduate Program Learning Outcomes

Graduate program learning outcomes are aligned with 2020 ASHA Standards for Clinical Certification in Speech-Language Pathology.

At the completion of the program the graduate will be able to:

  1. Develop, critically interpret, and deliver evidence-based evaluation and treatment practices for communication and swallowing disorders in individuals across the lifespan with diverse backgrounds and needs required of an entry-level clinician.
  2. Use appropriate professional oral and written communication with diverse individuals.
  3. Demonstrate accountability, integrity, professionalism, and cultural responsiveness in alignment with the ASHA Code of Ethics.
  4. Develop a plan for growth in clinical knowledge and skills following independent, systematic self-reflections and critical analysis to demonstrate lifelong learning in support of evidence-based practice.
