Hilary Haley, ’94, ’13G

Hilary Haley is a 1994 graduate of University of Maine with a BS in Computer Engineering. She earned her Professional Science Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Business in 2013 also from the University of Maine.  Hilary began her engineering career at Motorola as an Electronics Manufacturing Engineer in the cellular division of Motorola. There she supported the development and manufacturing of some of the first Motorola cellular flip-phones. Hilary continued her career in electronics manufacturing at Siemens Energy and Automation as a product manager for high-speed Surface Mount Technology robotic systems. Driven by a desire to return to Maine, Hilary pivoted to a different manufacturing industry at General Dynamics Bath Iron Works (BIW) in Bath, Maine. At BIW she became Manager of Electrical Engineering where she and her engineering teams supported design and manufacturing of US Navy Aegis and Zumwalt Class destroyers and Independence Class Littoral Combat Ships. Hilary served on the University of Maine Electrical and Computer Engineering visiting committee and she was recognized as a Distinguished Member of the Francis Crowe Society in 2014. She recently retired and lives in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
